Sell loose out of the bag — stock stays right

Not everybody takes a whole bag or a whole tin; you sell it in pieces. Stock is counted in the smallest unit and shown the way you say it.

  1. Bought

    10 bags

50 kg each — 500 kg in stock. If a bag weighs a little more or less, write the real weight.

  2. Sold

    5 kg loose

The owner set the loose-kilo price beforehand; it fills in on the bill.

  3. In stock

    9 bags 45 kg

= 495 kg. Profit uses the real cost of every kilo.

Paint works the same: 1 gallon tin = 3.64 litres. Sell half a gallon and 1.82 litres stay in stock.

Write one bill — everything else follows

Sales invoice

Product, quantity, rate — that's it

  • Stock goes down, at moving-average cost
  • The customer's due goes up, with a warning past their limit
  • Profit is worked out after the cost of what was sold
  • VAT, if any, goes into the Mushak 6.2 register
  • The journal posts itself, double entry
  • Money taken goes into the cash or bank book

Everything it does

All of this works from the day you open your books. “Add-on” items are switched on separately if you want them; “Soon” items are still being built.

Selling & prices

  • Sales invoice

Line or whole-bill discount in taka or percent, VAT, print and share

  • Selling price fills itself in

The owner sets it when buying; it fills in on the bill and can still be changed

  • Sell loose

Kilos and litres out of bags, tons and tins

  • Delivery challan

    Vehicle, driver, destination and receiver

  • Sales returns

Against the original invoice; stock and dues both corrected

  • Delivery charges

Borne by you or added to the customer’s bill

Buying & costs

  • Purchase bill

SO/DO challans, vehicle number, VAT, advance income tax

  • Three parties, three ledgers

Mill, truck owner and labour sardar — nobody’s money lands on another’s bill

  • Landed cost

Spread by value or quantity into the cost of each kilo

  • Real weight per load

“1 bag = 49.5 kg” — stock counts what actually arrived

  • Purchase returns & expenses

Make your own cost types — ghat charge, toll, packing

  • Commission & targets

Mill commission lowers cost; never counted as profit by mistake

Money & bank

  • Receive, pay, refund

Proper double-entry accounting

Every entry posts to a double-entry ledger and the database itself stands guard: an unbalanced entry cannot get in and a posted entry cannot be deleted. A mistake is corrected with a reversing entry — both stay on the record.

  • Carriage never changes the goods' purchase price
  • Commission lowers cost; it is not profit
  • An advance is never a negative due

Questions people ask

Is it really free for 6 months?
Yes. A new account pays nothing for the first 6 months, and no card is needed. After that it is 3,000 BDT a month if you carry on; if not, you owe nothing and nothing is deleted.
Which businesses is it for?
It is built for rod, cement, sand and stone, paint, Thai aluminium and glass traders, and works for other trading businesses too, such as motorcycle parts shops and grocery stores. One owner can keep several kinds of business in one set of books.
Will stock stay right if I sell loose out of a bag or tin?
Yes. Stock is counted in the smallest unit — kilo or litre — and shown both ways: “3,285 kg” and “65 bags 35 kg”. The real weight of each bag can be recorded when buying.
Will staff charge the right price when the owner is away?
The owner sets the selling price when buying and it fills in on every sale. Staff can still change it, and every bill records what was charged.
Can anyone else see my books?
No. Each company’s books are kept apart by the database itself — one company’s query cannot reach another’s rows, even if the code were wrong.
Do I need to know accounting?
No. Writing bills and recording money is enough — the journal writes itself. Every account is explained in Bengali.
Does it work on a phone? Without internet?
It is built for phones and installs from the browser like an app. It is an online app, so it needs a connection — mobile data is enough.
Can I bring my old books or another software’s data?
Yes. Enter opening balances for the first day. Customers, suppliers and products can be imported from Excel (add-on) — including files from QuickBooks, Zoho, Tally or Manager.
Can several people work at once?
Yes, as many users as you need. Each person’s permissions are set separately, and an audit log records who did what.
Does it handle VAT and tax deducted at source?
Yes. Mushak 6.1, 6.2 and 6.2.1 registers are produced, and VAT and income tax deducted at source are tracked in both directions.
How do I pay?
bKash, Nagad or bank transfer. Nothing during the free period.
